Global Restructuring Review’s 40 Under 40 List
Sophia Rolle-Kapousouzoglou Named to Global Restructuring Review’s 40 Under 40 List
Lennox Paton’s Litigation Partner Sophia Rolle-Kapousouzoglou has been named to Global Restructuring Review’s 40 Under 40 List – a list of the “world’s leading young insolvency and restructuring lawyers aged 40 and under.”
The selection of the ‘first rank of restructuring specialists globally’ was based on the quality of independent recommendations received, the cases each lawyer has worked on and the presence of each candidate’s firm in the global and regional marketplace.
The list highlights lawyers who play crucial roles in the evolution of the global restructuring market. Nominations were limited to private practitioners under the age of 40 who are placed to be future leading lights in the field. The members of the list were from 29 different law firms and Chambers in 16 cities across Europe, Asia, the Americas and the Middle East.
Sophia is the only Attorney selected from The Bahamas, she is a well-respected commercial and insolvency litigator with experience in liquidations, cross-border insolvency and restructuring. Recent cases she has worked on include applications seeking cross-border recognition of Liquidators appointed in foreign proceedings, proceedings involving a debtor seeking to enter into a composition with creditors, bankruptcy proceedings, proceedings seeking to set aside fraudulent preference claims, applications for payment of liquidators costs and remuneration out of trust assets and an application opposing recognition of Chapter 11 proceedings, and the subsequent use of a receivership to facilitate a restructuring.
