Christopher Ansell | Associate
Christopher is an Associate in the Real Estate Group in the Nassau office. Christopher attended the University of Reading, England where he obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) (with Honours) in 2005. He went on to attend BPP Law School in London, England where he trained as a Barrister with the accreditation of Very Competent (VC). Christopher was called to the Bar in England and Wales in 2007 and The Bahamas in 2008.
After being admitted to the Bahamas Bar, Christopher spent a year working with Deutsche Bank in London, England as an associate in the Complex Risk Group and there he gained valuable insight into banking, risk management and hedging business.
Christopher returned to Nassau in 2009 to complete his pupilage training with another Bahamian law firm and there he was involved primarily in litigation and dispute resolution. He joined Lennox Paton in 2010 and is currently developing a practice in real estate, corporate and commercial matters.
Christopher is a member of The Honourable Society of the Middle Temple, and he is an active member of The Bahamas Rowing Association, The Bahamas National Trust and Rotary International.
Christopher's recent work has included:
- Representing the real estate developers in the sales and financing of a multi-lot residential development in Abaco.
- Representing the Personal Representatives of various estates with the transfer of title in property under the estates.
- Assisting in preparing the Master Declaration and relating documents of an ultra exclusive private residential community.
- Assisting with the various applications and legal work required for the development of a private island in the Exuma Cays.
