Lennox Paton is delighted to announce that Scott Cruickshank,
the Managing Partner and Head of Litigation of the British Virgin
Islands office, has been bestowed as a Fellow of INSOL
International.
Scott is the first and only BVI practitioner to have successfully
completed the INSOL Global Insolvency Practice Course.
The Global Insolvency Practice Course is the pre-eminent advanced
educational qualification focusing on international insolvency. The
qualification is recognised worldwide as being the benchmark for
lawyers and other professionals practising in cross-border
reorganisations and insolvencies.
Scott was appraised as having "Great knowledge and understanding
of the subject. Pragmatic insight and methodical approach"
With the fast growing number of cross-border insolvency cases and
the adoption in many jurisdictions of international insolvency
rules and provisions, the turnaround and insolvency profession
faces increasing challenges in the current economic environment.
The current outlook demonstrates that the practitioners of tomorrow
need to have extensive knowledge of the transnational and
international aspects of legal and financial problems of businesses
in distress. The Global Insolvency Practice Course provides this
knowledge.
